Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. The "Rudy" Game

An otherwise unremarkable game in a decent but equally unremarkable 8-3 season, this matchup with Georgia Tech was later immortalized in the 1993 movie "Rudy." For the uninitiated, Rudy was the screen portrayal of the sentimental journey of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettinger, a walk-on scrub who had endured years of hazing and snide remarks in order to fulfill his everyman's dream of playing for the Irish in Notre Dame Stadium. The Georgia Tech game was the final home game of the season, coach Dan Devine sent him in to the roar of the crowd, and after the game was over, the crowd carried Rudy off the field on its shoulders---an honor which no other Notre Dame player, before or since, has ever received.
