IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

Knute Rockne had had quite a year, and with a full ten game schedule and an eventful postseason charity game against the New York Giants behind him, his doctors ordered him to the Mayo Clinic for a thorough examination. These same doctors' orders caused him to miss a subsequent benefit game, this one matching a team of former Notre Dame players known as the "Knute Rockne All-Stars" against an equally formidable crew of of former All-Americans and other college players known as "Jimmy Phelan's West-South All-Stars." In Rockne's enforced absence, his team was coached by his assistant Notre Dame coach Hunk Anderson, a former star who was to replace Rockne after the latter's death just three months later. Fittingly, the Rockne All-Stars won the game, 20 to 7. The game was played in the Los Angeles Coliseum.
