There was lots of bad blood between Nebraska and Notre Dame in those years, and truth be told, much of it stemmed from a series of nasty incidents that were directed against the religion and ethnicity of many of the Notre Dame players. But as to the game itself, the outcome was never in question, and the Huskers tallied their third win in the past four years against Rockne's vaunted eleven.
