IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

That was Michigan AD Fritz Crisler's reaction to a suggestion that a mere Columbus blizzard should postpone a Michigan-Ohio State game. So what if the temperature was 10, the wind was blowing 40 MPH, and the field was so covered with snow as to be all but unplayable? This wasn't Miami and Hawaii, folks, this was Michigan and Ohio State! And so the legend of the "Blizzard Bowl" was born. And with 50,503 paying customers (out of 82,300 ticketholders) braving the elements, the Wolverines parlayed two blocked punts into a safety and a touchdown, while FIFTEEN Chuck Ortmann coffin corner punts pinned the Buckeyes inside their own 15 yard line all afternoon. It wasn't the most elegant of victories, but as a result of it, the Wolverines wound up in the Rose Bowl (where they beat California) and the Buckeyes wound up with a new coach. Some guy named Woody.
