IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to a series of changes in the makeup of conferences, HistoricFootballPosters.com has been required to remove many of the posters which we had previously offered for sale. This game is one of the posters affected.

Hopefully this will be only a temporary setback. You can contact us at sales@historicfootballposters.com if you wish to inquire about any prospects of reinstatements for the upcoming holidays. You will receive a prompt and personal reply. We thank you for your patience, and more than share your frustration.

In the early 20's the Penn-Penn State rivalry was big, and the closeness of this game was indicative of the parity between the two programs, which more or less continued through 1953. After that the Quakers de-emphasized the sport while the Nittany Lions became truly big time, and the two schools haven't met since 1958. By the way, note the appearance of the African lion instead of the Nittany Lion. Our guess is that the illustrator had no idea what a Nittany Lion was.
