Not only do the Fighting Illini boast a glorious gridiron tradition going back to the days of Red Grange, but they also have spectacular cover art to complement it. Some of the highlights include the 1924 Stadium dedication game when Grange rushed or returned for five touchdowns against mighty Michigan; the first Big Ten-Pacific Coast Conference Rose Bowl game in 1947 where the Illini crushed Stanford into a pulp; five covers featuring Chief Illiniwek; and two of the most spectacular illustrations you can imagine from Northwestern games of the early 30's.
